Bill bans crucial pesticides prior to a scientific evaluation

Join Ag Council in opposing AB 363 (Bauer-Kahan), which was substantially amended on September 6th to ban the outdoor consumer use of neonicotinoid (neonic) pesticides on January 1, 2025.

SB 363 would ban pesticide products prior to the Department of Pesticide Regulation finalizing extensive scientific research.

Though the author and sponsors state that the bill is limited to non-agricultural uses, this measure could impact California agriculture by making it more difficult to combat invasive and destructive pests and diseases.
