Website Launches to Connect Ag & Other Sectors to Personal Protective Equipment Made in California
With the health and wellness of our members’ employees of utmost importance, Ag Council is pleased to announce a new collaboration to assist our members working to keep their employees safe and healthy during the COVID-19 crisis.
The California Manufacturing and Technology Association (CMTA) in partnership with Gov. Gavin Newsom launched an online portal – www.SafelyMakingCA.org — to connect California employers with non-medical grade Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for employees.
Gov. Newsom announced the collaboration during a press conference today and mentioned Ag Council as part of the effort, along with other ag and business trade associations.
You can watch a YouTube video about this effort featuring Ag Council President Emily Rooney and others by clicking the link HERE.
Ag Council understands the challenges some of our members face in acquiring protective gear for employees. At the same time, hundreds of small to mid-sized manufacturers have indicated they stand ready to produce and supply non-medical grade PPE. This is why the online portal was created.
The website, available via the link below, is in its early stages and provides a directory of California non-medical grade PPE, such as partitions, face masks, face shields, gowns, gloves, sanitizer and wipes. As the website continues to develop, manufacturers and businesses will be able to connect directly regarding precise needs and conduct transactions.
Ag Council encourages our members and friends to visit the website HERE.
