CARB Chair to Speak During the 107th Annual Meeting

Ag Council announces Lauren Sanchez, chair of the California Air Resources Board (CARB), as a speaker during Ag Council’s 107th Annual Meeting. The meeting takes place March 11–12, 2026, at Meritage Resort & Spa in Napa, California. We look forward to hosting the chair for a discussion.
Sanchez was appointed chair of CARB by Governor Gavin Newsom in September 2025. Prior to her appointment, Sanchez served as senior advisor for climate in the governor’s office. She is widely recognized as a lead strategist in the effort to extend California’s Cap-and-Invest (previously Cap-and-Trade) program, which the governor signed into law last year.
A Fulbright Scholar, Sanchez holds a Master of Science in Environmental Management from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Biology from Middlebury College.
