Ag Council is pleased to announce Senator Anna Caballero (D-Merced) as a featured speaker during Ag Council’s 107th Annual Meeting taking place March 11–12, 2026, at Meritage Resort in Napa.
Senator Caballero was elected to the State Senate in 2018 and previously served in the State Assembly. She championed Ag Council’s sponsored Buy American Food Act legislation to ensure California school districts purchase agricultural food products produced domestically, which benefits California farmers. After a significant advocacy effort, the measure was signed into law.
Senator Caballero is also a strong advocate for boosting water supply in the state and seeks pragmatic solutions to our water challenges.
Previously, she served as secretary of the California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency. She made history in 1998 as the first woman elected Mayor in the 126-year history of the City of Salinas.
