What’s the Status of Key Bills?
Today, the Assembly and Senate Appropriations Committees met and made decisions on whether hundreds of bills move forward. The fiscal committees specifically dealt with legislation on the suspense file, which is a file of bills that meet a threshold of cost impacts to the state.
Some bills are held in committee and others are approved and proceed to the respective Assembly and Senate floors where the bills will be considered over the next two weeks. The final day of the legislative session this year is September 14.
