Agricultural Council of California (Ag Council) is pleased to announce our Annual Meeting speakers who will present on topics ranging from water to the state budget to the supply chain, among others. We look forward to having members and friends join us March 14-16 in Napa.
To kick off Ag Council’s 103rd Annual Meeting on March 14, Ag Council is pleased to have Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) as the keynote speaker at our Annual Dinner.
During General Session on March 15, Ag Council welcomes the following presenters:
- California Department of Food and Agriculture Undersecretary Christine Birdsong;
- Department of Water Resources Director Karla Nemeth; and
- Port of Oakland Executive Director Danny Wan

Ag Council Welcomes New Intern
Ag Council is pleased to welcome Lucero Macias-Torres as an intern with our team.
Lucero is a third-year student at UC Davis and is majoring in International Agriculture Development, with a concentration in trade and economics. Her major focuses on how to improve food production, nutrition, marketing, and government affairs.
“I have ventured into a lot of different activities in agriculture, from my time in FFA in high school, to my activities today at UC Davis, including my involvement in Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources and related sciences. I am very excited to be given this opportunity to intern with Ag Council. I have already learned a lot and appreciate that I’m working with an amazing team,” Lucero said.
Lucero is assisting with various projects, including helping prepare for the Annual Meeting in Napa, and she looks forward to meeting and interacting with our members.
